Meet Shauna Chevalier Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist

Shauna Chevalier M.A., CCC-SLP

Shauna received her master’s in Speech-Language Pathology at California State University, Long Beach. While earning her bachelor’s, Shauna provided behavioral therapy services in homes. While earning her master’s, Shauna worked as a speech-language pathology assistant. Shauna has gained clinical experience as a licensed speech-language pathologist for the past 4+ years.

Shauna has worked with pediatric and school-aged populations aged 1-22 years. With knowledge of how speech and language develop over many ages and stages of life, Shauna supports children in their current step on the communication ladder while preparing them for the next.

Shauna has been interested in education since she was old enough to know what a teacher was. Shauna pursued speech and language specifically when she found out how communication skills unlock ways to think, connect, and learn.

Shauna specializes in social engagement, play-based therapy, family-centered therapy, speech sound production, alternative and augmentative communication, and gestalt language processing.

Shauna empowers parents to confidently use therapeutic techniques to support their child’s speech and language skills in daily life.

Above all else, Shauna is determined to help kids love communication and feel confident in the way they speak.

(When she’s not working, Shauna trains for marathons, cooks, travels the world, pets animals—especially her 3 cats, and enjoys her friends and family.)
